On Life, Death and Time

This is just a little rant I went on two nights ago while writing a poem, I guess it’s just been harping on my mind lately.

We procrastinate so much, we assume that we can start or resume whatever it is we were doing later, that the future is just out there waiting to be had whenever you’re ready for it, but time is no trained pup. life comes and goes as it pleases and one day it’s finished, you die and you’re gone forever. You don’t wish you didn’t die because you can’t, you’re already dead, there is no wishing for you, no hope of return, no savior, no miracles, no happy endings, just the end and nothing. A nothingness greater than anything you can ever imagine, that’s all we have to look forward to in this life
